Ball Toys For The Baby
Hi there. This may be a very strange article to you as I would say that I am writing this article from quite an abstract angle. This article is about balls, if you can believe that. Why balls? Because I think balls are a very amazing thing that is used very widely in our daily lives. This includes in sports and games as well as many toys. I will go through some of these examples in this article, but I would first give an introduction about balls.
I guess that the ball needs no introduction. But I have to define the ball as a round object which has an infinite number of uses. If you ask me, first it was the invention of the wheel and later this became the ball. When people first discovered the properties of a round object and created a two dimensional round thingy, they used it as a wheel to move things and transport. Later this round property was extended three dimensionally to form a ball.
A ball is usually a perfect spherical object but sometimes you can find more ovoid objects as balls being used in ball games (such as the American football). But the majority of balls used in ball games are spherical. For these games, the state of game play depends on how the ball is hit, kicked or thrown around or about by players. This includes footballs, basketballs, tennis balls, ping pong balls, baseballs, softballs and even billiard balls! Then there are other ball games that are used on a smaller scale (and the balls themselves are smaller too). Some examples include playing with marbles, for catching or even juggling. Balls are also used widely for industrial, mechanical and engineering purposes. Take for example the small ball bearings that are used in a machine to reduce friction. Then there are all sorts of balls that are actually used in engines or other mechanical devices. All these balls are not like those soft balls that are used when playing ball games, such balls are made from hard-wearing wear resistant metal.
The reason why I like balls is because of the toys that are created from balls. Take for example the exercise ball which is so versatile and lets you do all sorts of body exercises from it. Not to forget that balls are the babies’ and kids’ best friend. Why? Because the ball never stops rolling (well it does but that is because of friction) and babies and young children can really have lots of fun playing with balls. Just add in some balls of different colours and also a contraption to get the balls to move and you have just created a toy that is able to catch the child’s attention and which is also intellectually stimulating for the baby.
